Mission Statement

The Mark and Mary Freitas Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those in need. The foundation supports initiatives relating to medical research, education and community wellbeing.

Mark Freitas and his wife Mary are the founders of the Mark and Mary Freitas Foundation and longstanding supporters of causes and organizations helping those in need. Mark is a respected insurance industry executive and is currently president of Mark Edward Partners, a firm he founded in 2010. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Development Committee at the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights, the Kravis Center for Performing Arts, as well as the Chairman of the annual galas in Palm Beach for Best Buddies International.

Mark Freitas is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and is an active supporter of UConn as a Foundation director, Leadership Cabinet member, and Hall of Fame inductee in its School of Business. Mark received an honorary doctorate from Sacred Heart University.

Mary Fairbanks Freitas is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications. She worked in radio and television after completing her studies.

Mark and Mary live in Palm Beach where they raise their two sons and a daughter.
